28 – 29 April 2010 will be organized in Madrid by European Patent Office (EPO) in co-operation with the Spanish EU Presidency, the European Commission and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office the forum entitled: “Assessing Europe’s Renewable Energy Innovation Potential”. Throughout the conference, first results of the study “Patents and clean energy” jointly conducted by the EPO, the United Nations Environment Programme and the International Centre for Trade and Development, will be announced. To help bridge the gap between evidence and policy, the three organisations will present data on and insights into the relationship between patents and the development and transfer of clean energy technologies.
