26.06.2009 - EU lunch conference - Un Etat Membre a la Une: La Republique Tcheque

On 23 June 2009 the conference Un Etat Membre a la Une: La Republique Tcheque took place in Brussels. This conference was organized by the CEBRE office and its aim was to present the Czech Republic and its regions, together with the potential for tourism.

 

Welcome speech gave the CEBRE’s director Michal Kadera and his colleague Alena Vlačihová. They introduced the basic data and information Czech Republic and they lightened the topic with various of interests. Then followed more formal presentation of Karin Šeligová from CzechTourism about the Czech Republic in the context of the tourism.

 

Next speakers were the representatives of Praha, Plzeň and the Karlovy Vary region with the short introductions of their regions. Their contributions were followed by sandwich lunch and tasting of the regional specialities, together with the presentation of the regions on the promotional stands.

 

The CZELO office actively participated by the propagation of the Czech science by way of debate with the visitors and distribution of the various informational materials and brochures. With regard to the high attendance (over 100 people) the CZELO office successfully promoted itself and provided the information about its activities in Brussels.
